Therapeutic Action:
It is indicated for performing:
– Myocardial perfusion scintigraphy for the detection and localization of coronary artery disease (angina and myocardial infarction).
– Evaluation of the global ventricular function, first step technique to determine the ejection fraction and/or gated SPECT tomography with the ECG, for the evaluation of the ejection fraction, volumes and regional motility of the wall of the left ventricle.
– Isotopic mammography for the detection of suspected breast neoplasia when the mammography is inconclusive, inadequate or indeterminate.
– Localization of hyperfunctioning parathyroid tissue in patients with recurrent or persistent disease, both in primary and secondary hyperparathyroidism, and in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism scheduled for initial surgery of the parathyroid glands.
