TECHNETIUM GENERATOR
Name:
Tc99m Dry Column/Tc99m Sterile GENERATOR
Active Principle:
Sodium Molybdate (Mo99) / Sodium Pertechnectate (Tc99m)
Description:
It is indicated for obtaining a solution of Sodium Pertechnetate (Tc99m). Depending on the administration route, it is used for:
- Intravenous administration route:
- Cerebral examination (including cerebral radionuclide angiography)
- Thyroid examination (thyroid scintigraphy)
- Images of the salivary glands. Evaluation of Sjögren’s Syndrome. (Salivary scintigraphy)
- When used together with a previous treatment with a reducing agent to carry out the labeling of red blood cells with technetium (99mTc), it allows performing:
- a.-evaluation of the ventricular ejection fraction;
- b.- evaluation of the global and regional motility of the cardiac wall
- c.-Obtaining images of the myocardial phase
- Study of the vascular bed: Obtaining images of organ perfusion or vascular anomalies.
- Location of placenta
- Diagnosis and location of occult gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Location of stomach tissue in an abnormal location (Merkel’s diverticulum)
- Route of administration by instillation:
- Images of the naso-lacrimal drainage system by ocular instillation (dacryoscintigraphy).
- Imaging of the urinary bladder (direct isotopic cystography) and for the detection of vesico-urethral reflux by direct instillation into the bladder via a urethral catheter.
- Route of administration according to the specifications of the set of reagents:
- Marking of different sets of reagents to obtain radiopharmaceutical preparations for the diagnosis of different pathologies on various target or target organs.
