Therapeutic Action:
In Neurology it is indicated to evaluate the state of the striatum in patients with altered motor signs and to detect the loss of functional dopaminergic nerve endings. They allow to differentiate Idiopathic Parkinsonism from the so-called pseudo-parkinsonisms, such as Essential Tremor (ET) and Vascular Parkinsonism (Arteriosclerotic). In Oncology it is indicated to diagnose and locate insulinomas in infants and children, gliomic tumors, pheochromocytomas, paragangliomas and medullary thyroid carcinoma.
