Contrast Agent

VIEWGAM

Name:
Viewgam

Active Principle:
Dimeglumin Gadopentate (Gd DTPA)

Therapeutic Action:
It is indicated to be used as a contrast agent, due to its paramagnetic properties, for obtaining Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in adults and children over two years of age. This product facilitates the visualization of intracranial lesions including all types of tumors, spinal cord injuries and associated tissues. In particular, it can be used to detect and confirm the existence of tumors, allowing a more precise differential diagnosis, such as in the case of invasive tumors (eg glioma), neurinoma, meningioma and metastasis. It is indicated to visualize small tumors and explore recurrences after radiotherapy or tumor surgery (pituitary adenomas). MRI of the spinal cord also serves to differentiate medullary and extramedullary tumors and areas of solid tumors in cases of declared syrinx, allowing the intermedullary extension of the tumor to be known. It allows obtaining images of any other area of the human body, including joints of arms, hands and legs, pelvis, chest, breasts, neck and face. and whole body. It allows making the precise diagnosis in cases of herniated discs and studies of renal function and the musculoskeletal system.
