Therapeutic Action:
It is indicated for:
– Performing scintigraphic studies of the blood pool of the heart and great vessels.
– Circulatory and placental studies.
– Evaluation of gastrointestinal bleeding (especially to locate the site of bleeding).
– As a reducing agent, it is used for the “In Vivo” labeling of red blood cells, to the administration of 99mTc, in the form of sodium pertechnetate (99mTc).
– Perform radiocardiogram and radioisotope ventriculogram for evaluation of cardiac ejection fraction with 99mTc.
– The diagnosis of hemangioma.
– The detection of aneurysms.
